The earth split in two
Worms and maggots shrieked in terror
the smell of decay floated in the air
the odor spread like fire eating wood
Making any human turned in disgust
making the stomach danced crazily
the whirwind rushed in fear
swirling and swirling in agony
the heaven hide in black
so thick and dark
Death wandered around
pierced into the very soul of the universe
the earth shaken in terror
frozen into a magnitude of silence
Who’s to blame?
For the decay and the death of this earth
who’s to turn to?
for the sheer tremor and horror
The earth is dying
Weeping in anguish
for the lost she never caused
